Over the past few decades, there has been an amazing advancement in dental and orthodontic treatment methods and technology. We no longer live in an age where the only way to fix an orthodontic problem is via traditional metal braces, which are often quite uncomfortable due to the metal brackets and wires that are required. Now, for those looking to straighten misaligned teeth in the Prescott, Wisconsin area, you have options like ClearCorrect clear aligners as offered by Drs. Jay Feuillerat and Samantha Clare at Scenic Bluffs Dental.
ClearCorrect is an excellent option for both teens and adults looking to correct issues like:
Here are some common questions that patients often ask us about this treatment.
ClearCorrect is an orthodontic option that utilizes clear aligners instead of the metal brackets and wires used by traditional braces. ClearCorrect is one of the leading and most commonly used clear aligner options for correcting misaligned teeth. These clear aligners have been proven to show results faster than competing clear aligner solutions, including Invisalign. ClearCorrect aligners offer amazing comfort and are easy to remove and put on.
If you have minor to moderate misalignment or bite issues, ClearCorrect clear aligners can help with treatment. If you have a more complex or severe case of malocclusion, then traditional metal braces may be recommended. Visit your local dentist for an examination to determine if you are a suitable candidate for ClearCorrect.
ClearCorrect aligners are designed to effectively shift your teeth into their correct position comfortably and discreetly. The clear aligners used during your ClearCorrect treatment are made of an FDA-approved plastic consisting of a polyurethane resin. They are also made from materials that are 100% BPA-free. Your aligners will also be stain- and crack-resistant.
Once it is determined that you are a good candidate for ClearCorrect treatment, a series of digital impressions will be taken, which are utilized to create your aligners. Your aligners will be fabricated with the help of printed three-dimensional models of your teeth, ensuring they fit comfortably and allow for easy removal, all while effectively shifting your teeth into their correct position as you progress through your series of aligner trays.
ClearCorrect shifts your teeth into their correct alignment gradually and comfortably. The length of treatment will vary depending on the severity of your alignment or bite issue. Treatment typically can last from a few months (for minor issues) to a few years (for more severe issues). For patients who start treatment for minor issues, treatment could only be required for 8-12 months.
You may feel slight discomfort when you first put on each new aligner in the series, but this is often quite minor compared to traditional braces. Otherwise, your clear aligners will be very comfortable to the point where you may sometimes forget that you are even wearing them.
